Linko
A local-network file-sharing project for Android and Windows, currently in development.
Why This Project
Linko focuses on a practical task: moving files between a phone and a Windows computer. Device discovery, file selection, sending, receiving, and transfer progress are brought together in one app. Its transfer foundation is derived from LocalSend.
My Contribution
I develop Linko on top of an existing open-source foundation. The project includes interface and sharing-flow adaptations, while its underlying transfer foundation remains credited to LocalSend rather than presented as an engine I built from scratch.
Features in Development
- Nearby-device discovery and selection
- File selection, sending, and receiving flows
- Transfer progress and cancellation handling
- Transfer history, settings, and a web-sharing interface
Current Status
In development. The listed flows are present in the reviewed code. This portfolio does not yet provide a release download or claim validated transfer performance.
Still to Build or Validate
- Two-way transfers between physical Android and Windows devices still need validation.
- Transfer speed, security, and release readiness have not been independently validated.
