AlHuda
An Android prayer-reminder app in development, with Quran reading planned as part of its scope.
Why This Project
AlHuda aims to bring prayer reminders and Quran reading into one Android app. Development currently centers on the reminder foundation: prayer-time calculations, location settings, scheduled alarms, and Adhan audio. Quran reading is an intended feature, not an available feature of the reviewed implementation.
My Contribution
I develop AlHuda as an Android project for prayer reminders and, eventually, Quran reading. The current project work is centered on reminder flows; I do not present the planned Quran reader as finished.
Features in Development
- Prayer-time calculation using location and calculation settings
- Adhan alarm scheduling and audio playback code
- Location selection, saved locations, and app settings
- Upcoming-alarm screen and navigation drawer
Current Status
In development, with prayer reminders as the current focus. Quran reading is planned; Qibla, Qada counter, and monthly-view menu items are still placeholders in the reviewed code.
Still to Build or Validate
- Quran reader: planned; an implementation was not found in the reviewed code.
- Alarm delivery, background behavior, and audio still need testing on physical devices.
